Break a Leg Theater Works presents Newsies Jr. this August, choreographed by Broadway's Thayne Jasperson.

Synopsis: "Newsies" is a high-energy musical that follows the story of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy in New York City at the turn of the 20th century. When newspaper tycoon Joseph Pulitzer raises distribution prices at the newsies expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions. The Newsies get their story out thanks to a passionate reporter named Katherine. Supported by his loyal friends, Jack leads a spirited campaign for justice and fair treatment for all working children. Through catchy songs and dynamic dance numbers, "Newsies" celebrates the power of unity and the courage to stand up for what's right in the face of adversity.
