Working on a Song - Masterclass

Break a Leg Theater Works Proudly presents “Working on a Song”, a live-in person, vocal masterclass taught by Broadway’s own Kimberly Marable, star of the 1st national tour of Hadestown coming to Boston this November.

Join us for this extraordinary experience where students will be able to sing a brief song selection in any style of their choosing for our guest artists Kimberly. They will receive one-on-one coaching and feedback on their song, and then they will be given the opportunity to implement that feedback.  They will also participate in a Q&A where they can ask Kimberly about her amazing career and what it was like to create the iconic role of Persephone in Hadestown.

Slots are limited for this class and proof of vaccination is required to participate. We’ll be “Living’ it Up on Top” for this once in a lifetime opportunity to work with one of the stars of Hadestown, Kimberly Marable. Whether you are working on a new song for your audition repertoire, college auditions or an upcoming performance we highly recommend this class for you.

Direct from the original Broadway company of Hadestown, Kimberly is thrilled to be Our Lady of the Underground. Additional Broadway/International Touring credits include The Lion King, The Book of Mormon, Sister Act, Dreamgirls, Hairspray, and The Wedding Singer. Pre-Broadway development: Hadestown, Pal Joey with Marin Mazzie and Patina Miller, and The Wanderer with NKOTB's Joey McIntyre. She has appeared on CBS' “FBI” and “Bull” and NPR Music's Tiny Desk Concert series. You can hear Kimberly as Lorelai in the Netflix anime series, “Cannon Busters,” and as a promotional voice for a number of TV networks. Brooklyn born and raised. Dartmouth College grad. Kimberly co-founded Broadway Serves, which provides theater professionals with community service opportunities. She serves on the Advisory Committee for the Actors Fund’s Looking Ahead program and recently joined the Board of Trustees for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Love always to fam, CLA and MA.
