A Chorus Line Master Class
Join Break a Leg Theater works for Every Little Step: The Chorus Line Experience. This masterclass will be taught by our upcoming choreographer and original cast member of the 2006 Broadway revival of A Chorus Line, Chryssie Whitehead.
After a warmup and some across the floor technique, students will also learn some combinations from the show. This is a perfect opportunity to gain insight for students planning to audition for BAL’s upcoming production of a Chorus Line, but this class is also open to students who may not be.
Our day will end with a viewing of the iconic documentary Every Little Step, which documents the casting process of the 2006 revival and also features sour choreographer Chryssie. Don’t miss out on this exciting and unique opportunity.

Documentary Viewing (Pizza Included) from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Chryssie Whitehead has had an accomplished career in film, television and theatre spanning over 20 years. Chryssie began her career as a dancer for the Rockettes right out of high school and made her Broadway debut in the revival of A Chorus Line. Her additional Broadway credits include: Velma in Chicago (understudy, performed) and Kathy in Company (Lincoln Center with Neal Patrick Harris). Favorite regional roles: Bombalurina in Cats, Lola in Damn Yankees and Cassie in A Chorus Line, Her multiple film and television credits include: Grey's Anatomy, Happy Endings, In Plain Sight, Switched at Birth, Castle, The Mentalist, Warehouse 13, Private Practice, Boston Public, Revenge of the Bridesmaids (with Raven-Symone) and in Steven Spielberg's West Side Story. In addition to performing, she has directed and/or choreographed productions of Chicago, Into the Woods, Shrek, Grease and Beauty and the Beast.
