This dynamic summer camp run by Break a Leg Theater Works, South Shore’s premiere performing arts youth training program, will celebrate all things Broadway! We’ll explore various musicals past and present through games, songs, scenes, and dances. We’ll recreate some iconic Broadway moments in our very own special Break a Leg way. This camp is sure to be a delight for theater kids who just want to have fun while also honing their craft and following their passion in a safe and encouraging environment. Kids on Broadway is an extraordinary opportunity for younger theater kids to continue to grow and gain even more inner confidence that will translate to all aspects of their lives.
Camp will culminate in a LIVE showcase performance at the Duxbury High School Presentation Hall at the end of camp on Friday, August 4th.
Audition requirements: No auditions; performance showcase will be put together during camp week
Grades: entering 3rd-8th grade (*younger students may be accepted on a case by case basis; please email info@breakalegtheater.com for more information)

Lauren Masterpolo
Lauren is thrilled to return to BAL as a guest director and instructor. She first joined the BAL family as a performer when she was only 16, then went on to graduate summa cum laude from the University at Buffalo with a BFA in Musical Theatre and a minor in Nonprofit Leadership. While in college, Lauren returned on Summer breaks to teach BAL classes on scene study, acting for the song, audition technique, and college audition planning/coaching. Lauren has spent the last 9 months making her childhood dreams come true as a performer on Disney Cruise Lines' newest ship, The Wish! Some of Lauren's other professional credits include Mamma Mia and Something Rotten at Priscilla Beach Theatre in Plymouth.
