Break a Leg Theater Works is thrilled to present a summer camp intensive ending in a pop-up production of “Annie Jr.”! This summer camp will be all things Annie as we bring these iconic characters to life in our signature BAL style. Students will audition for roles on the first day of camp and then embark on a 2 week intensive from July 17th-28th to put the whole musical together for a pop up performance on August 29th! You won’t want to miss the opportunity to work on this classic and iconic piece of musical theater!

Audition Requirements: If auditioning for a speaking/singing role, come prepared to sing a verse of a song to a preselected karaoke track on the first morning of camp. Callback auditions will be held that afternoon; cast list goes out Monday night of camp.

Lauren Masterpolo

Lauren is thrilled to return to BAL as a guest director and instructor. She first joined the BAL family as a performer when she was only 16, then went on to graduate summa cum laude from the University at Buffalo with a BFA in Musical Theatre and a minor in Nonprofit Leadership. While in college, Lauren returned on Summer breaks to teach BAL classes on scene study, acting for the song, audition technique, and college audition planning/coaching. Lauren has spent the last 9 months making her childhood dreams come true as a performer on Disney Cruise Lines' newest ship, The Wish! Some of Lauren's other professional credits include Mamma Mia and Something Rotten at Priscilla Beach Theatre in Plymouth.
